Cookies Hair Design opened its doors in 1977, founded by Dave Cooke – my dad. I was just 13 when I started helping out on Saturdays, sweeping floors and soaking up the buzz of the salon. It wasn’t long before I realised this was more than a job – it was a passion. Hairdressing had me hooked.
Fast forward over 30 years, countless colours, and a whole lot of learning – I officially took over the salon in 2022 when my dad retired. With NVQ Level 2 and 3 qualifications, plus advanced colour training as a Master Colour Expert with Wella Professionals, I’ve dedicated my career to creating hair that makes people feel amazing. I’ve attended seminars, entered competitions, and always stayed hands-on with the craft I love.
Cookies is more than a salon – it’s a space where generations of clients feel at home. We’re proud to have a long-standing, loyal clientele of all ages who trust us for everything from precision cuts to bespoke balayage, foils, colour correction, and expert styling.
In recent years, we’ve embraced a new chapter by switching to NAK Hair – a premium Australian brand known for its vegan-friendly, naturally-inspired products. Our colour services now feature both their soft and permanent colour ranges, plus professional bleaching products, strengthening treatments like Olaplex, and conditioning care from NAK’s Quench and Hydrate line.
